EGM #229 - Retro Revivals

Post by RadarScope1 »

Just FYI, new issue cover story is all about retro revivals. Splatterhouse on the cover. Might be worth picking up for some of those who lurk in these parts.

The stories aren't on 1UP yet but they will be in a week or two.

I got it, on my last copy of EGM no less. Not feeling it with EGM anymore. I can find most info on the net nowaday. No point in renewing.

I know what you mean. I still like the mag, though. I'm a former print journalist myself. I'm going to keep supporting them until they go the way of GFW. What they need to do is more of the kind of thing you don't find on the Internet anyway - in depth and analytical stuff. You'll NEVER compete with the net if your mag is just news, previews and reviews.

I miss GameFan. Anyway, I find myself always reading about anything retro when they do have it, like in GameInformer about their classics section. Those are my favorite read. Wish EGM has a section devoted to Retrogaming, even if it is a small section. :?

It does. It's in the back. It's branded with the "retronauts" name and is usually written by Jeremy Parish.
