That looks like a really good set up. I'll keep my eyes out for something like that in the States.Flak Beard wrote:Something like this would be perfect for the games. Just a stackable plastic storage box with flat sides.

Unfortunately it's a UK seller. All the stuff like this at Walmart or similar stores seems to have angled sides.
Need ideas for CD/DVD storage...

Is it better to have a binder that hold more that what you intend to put in it? For instance, the one that holds 320 discs, I would probably be filling it with almost 300 maybe even maxing it out eventually. Would it be too tight and possibly hurt the discs?diehllane wrote:Yea. I would worry about that. I would leave the art in another case somewhere. I know that would make it hard to go through to find the one you want, but it's better than destroying it.

Here's my suggestion if you have a lot of original games with art, and cd books. Use CD binders. First, I'd stay away from the 500+ binders. Their huge and super heavy. Stick to the 300-320 ones max. Just divide your collection over a couple binders. Now, put your CDs and art so CDs stack over CDs and art/manuals over art/manuals. For example, on a single side you have 4 pockets. Each 1 disc game uses 2 pockets, one pocket for the CD, one for the art/manual. Personally I'd leave the back art/spine art in the jewel case and store it away, and just use the manual or front case insert for the binder. Now use the inside, closes to the spine for the discs, and the outside for the manual/art, so that you won't have to worry about rings.

That's a good idea. As far as my games go though, I'll be keeping them in the original cases no matter what, I just need to find a good storage bin. The music is what really needs to be condensed, and I'm considering the binder idea.buckeye25osu wrote:Here's my suggestion if you have a lot of original games with art, and cd books. Use CD binders. I've also considered getting some of these and storing them in a nice box...

I'm contemplating tossing out the tray art for my music. I mean, is music even a return investment these days? Everyone wants MP3s, and used CDs don't sell for too much. I figure if I can live without the tray cards, I could go this route.
