LINKS TO MUSIC:
http://www.zophar.net/music.html - Lots of videogame music rips and plugins
http://project2612.org/index.php - Genesis VGM archive (arguably better than GYM)
http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/my-osts- ... nks-34462/ - Insanely huge collection of everything

JT endorsed this so I hope it's cool! I figure a lot of us here are into old videogame music and all, I'm always up for discovering more and some awesome games that way myself.
I guess for starters... how about Crusader No Regret: Main Theme
I really wish the MOD format lasted longer. Unreal and Deus Ex used the same format, among other games!
And randomly if you guys haven't heard of SSH, check him out. Thanks to brunoafh for getting me into this guy... it's insanity.

I'll just repost this since it's still valid

The old version of Treasure Trove Cove doesn't even remotely resemble the final one

Then there's all the old Project Dream music too, most of which was reworked by the time Banjo Kazooie came about. It's all neat stuff.

I take back all the crap I've said about Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. It was all worth it for this guitar solo (even the part about ducking by the cliffs)

I always thought this was amazing. Another one man band video, which JT's posts reminded me of.

Beyond Good & Evil - Dancing With Domz(Epic track)
Some of my favorite tracks from James Silva's The Dishwasher Dead Samurai and The Dishwasher Vampire Smile. These really make me want to find a samurai sword and kill some shit
Some of my favorite Mega Man X tracks
Vile's theme from MM X 1 (This track sounds so fucking EVIL!!!)
Mega Man X 3 boss theme (Epic! Too bad it's just a loop though)
Zero's themes from MM X 2, 3, 4 & 5
One of my fave levels from Wet and I love the heavy metal music they used for it. It's a perfect fit for the stage. This is one of the coolest video games levels ever from an otherwise fairly mediocre game.
The one thing Wet nailed is music
