I've tossed a half dozen butts back into cars without incident. If I'm stopped at a red light and see someone flick out a butt and their window is open, I hop out and flick the butt back in their car with a "You dropped this". I've had people shout at me, but never confront me.

My wife swears that this act is assault, I feel as if I'm just returning someones trash. With this in mind I have never thrown a butt back into a car that had children in it. But seriously, cars have ash trays.

I believe the phrase, "cruisin' for a bruisin'" applies here. Y'never know what kind of a-hole teetering on the verge of exploding you can bump into that way and be the trigger for some bad shit.
Your intentions are golden and what should be done to show the cretins they are wrong IMO, but still dangerous nonetheless.

That's the problem, newer cars don't. I guess we need to give smokers one of those suction cup ash trays that they can put on their dashboard.

Ticked: Kotaku seriously has a hard-on for hating on Nintendo.. They even look at a $3 release of Mega Man: Wily's Revenge as a freakin' bad thing.. What the hell?
Smile: ...uhh... honey badger in NBA Jam??

Totally unrelated to the conversation, but it made me smile to see someone else use "cruisin' for a bruisin'".

My mom used to threaten me that way (jokingly) when I was a kid. To this day when I'm being a smartass (always) she'll shake her hand at me and say "You're cruisin'! You better watch it!".

Sorry, like I said, it made me smile.

If my mom ever tried to say anything like that I probably woulda got a hernia from laughing so hard. My mom has a European/British-mixed accent so even the though of her saying that made me laugh out loud.
