DoA5 has just been revealed: TGS video, Pre-Alpha version.
I'm not all that impressed, honestly, but it's still much too early to pass judgement.
Dead or Alive 5 Reveal

*dies*
I love DOA, and that looks simply awesome to me.
It figures they only show off Hayabusa and Hayate, but what else do you expect?
Still though, I love all of the action in the background, and the way Hayabusa bounced back in from the stage damage, and the ledge hanging at the end...
It all looks very dynamic.
Thanks for posting this.

Re: Dead or Alive 5 Reveal
I'm wondering how the series will change without Itagaki around. (I haven't yet played Dimensions, but my understanding is that's its kind of a compilation game)
Will there be more story? More focus on characters who aren't ninjas? Less bounciness?
You know, sometimes knowing about a game in development is a special kind of torture. This pre-alpha teaser couldn't be farther away from release, and now I have the "pleasure" of anticipating it for who knows how long.
I've always been a very impatient gamer.

No Itagaki, no hope.
But it looks like same old DOA from the video.
