So I am currebtly in fabulous downtown vegas. I got married on the 10th and am on my honeymoon. I was hoping to drag my wife to gameworks and play HotD 4 special. However, I read that the HotD special machine was sold to a private collector. That's cool my sister lives in chicago I could go to the one in Illoinois sometime. But that one is permantly down. Lol wut? Sega still hasn't ported 4 to home consoles now I can't play special. That really bumed me out.
I am not going to sit around and cry about it though. Instead I want to play all 4 installments while in las vegas. I am staying at the golden nugget. Its in hotel arcade has the first one. Last night I went to a bar/arcade called Insert Coin. There I played 2 (aswell as sf3, mvc2, snkvscapcom2, and ssf4 arcade edition on their ps3 )
So my question now is: where can play 3 and 4? I have yet to go to gameworks. Anyother arcades I should check out while we are here?
Thats incorrect sir! The house of the dead 3 is an arcade game (has shotgun molded guns as oppose to standard gun controls and runs on segas Chihiro board which is based on xbox hardware with more horsepower and operates on GDrom media as oppose to DVDrom. The only console exclusive HOTD is overkill on the wii and soon to be released on PS3.
As for arcades to check out in vegas from my personal experience (aside from major drinking and bar/club hopping in vegas, I enjoy hitting up the arcade scene while under the influece with my good buddies lol!), try ur luck in New york new york, MGM, The Orleans has a clean and organzed setup there, The Aria has decent setup as well circus circus although their prices are expensive.
There is also a small arcade that just a tad off the strip that just opened like a year and a half ago. Have fun and congratulations to u and your lady on taking the plunge
In regards to a home release of HOTD4, I was really hoping SEGA wud wise up and announce it as a packin bonus with upcoming release of Overkill on PS3, much like how Namco's Dead Storm Pirates was packed in with with Time Crisis and Raizing Storm on PS3. I wud actually buy a PS3 if SEGA followed in their rivals footsteps and did a similar release with HOTD4, Overkill and Virtua Cop 3! That wud be the Shit!!!

Can you post pics of the HOTD4 Arcade Cab?
Be sure to hit the Pinball Museum and play some great Arcade cabs and Pinball Tables, its near the airport. There is also a very nice Retro game store next door. Pics of the store and Pinball Museum at the link.
Sega should really release HotD 1 and 4 on wii. Then all 5 games could be played on one system cementing the wii as the rail shooter platform.
Update on my quest: I went to gameworks. It had a ton of sega games including HotD2,3,&4. No insert of coins just dave and busters style card credit system. Also, the pump reload on the HotD 3 shotguns worked 1 out 3 times and the guns needed to be calibrated. Overall, that place was medicore at best. Today we are going to pinball mueseum. I had read about it and it was a selling point on this trip to my wife.
HOTD 4 on the Wii wud be terrible idea simply from the fact that a Wii translation would definately result in heavily toned down graphics. The game runs on the Sega Ligndenberg hardware (what VF5 runs on) so the Wii would not handle the game without making some MAJOR compromises. That's why I think a PS3 port wud be better.

Two gamers hitting Vegas! Pics Pics Pics please.
I really miss Vegas, may have to make another run soon. Do me a favor, pass on to the Retro Store owner next door that both store locations are now listed in Racketboy Store Listing. A great store that has no web page, a lot of treasures there.
