Sega Saturn or Dreamcast ?

Post by Greatscot »

Hi everyone i was wondering which console would be better to buy a Sega Saturn or Dreamcast, because i live in the uk so i'd like to get a system with great releases because as we all know uk console owners get shafted with most games not coming out for the systems that get Released in America and Japan. So which has the best PAL releases.

Yeah, the DC probably had better PAL releases. Theres no reason to avoid importing though, as its really easy to do on the DC.

Also, whats your favorite genres? That always determains what consoles I'll try to go for

That's a tough one. Dreamcast probably has a better UK library than Saturn (and almost certainly better than the US Dreamcast library), but most of the best titles were ported to newer consoles since then, leaving the Saturn with a better library of exclusives.

even if you are in a PAL territory, you will probably need to import to get the most out of ether system...especially the Saturn.

Indeed, there is no reason to avoid importing, as you will get a lot more out of the system.

Both systems are great. Counting imports, I think I prefer the Saturn, but you really can't go wrong.

Then again, I am a 2D shooter addict, so my opinion may be scewed
