I know a lot of guys play fantasy football and fantasy wrestling and all that. I'm usually not into that stuff. But every so often, I do play this one. It's basically fantasy Marvel Comics. And as a comic book geek, this is perfect because we're always arguing who can beat who anyways.
Anyone that wants to join in on the fun, is welcome to. Also anyone that just wants to vote or throw in their two-cents on the fights are also welcome to You create a team of 4 Marvel characters and pit them against other manager's teams and everyone votes on the outcome while you argue in your fighter's favor. It continues until one manager/team is left standing in the end.
You do need to start an account on www.comiccollectorlive.com's forums so you can participate, though. It's just for the message boards, you don't have to sign-up, subscribe, or pay for anything.

Cards Rules:
In addition to the above rules, there will cards given to each manager that can be used one time each through the entire tournament, so choose wisely when using them. There are 5 available, but each team manager can pick only 4 cards.
1. Environment Pick/Steal Card: (must be submitted with fighter) Allows manager to steal home field advantage, which lets him/her pick the environment. In addition the user to can pick from any of the posted environments not just the ones that are currently in play. Can also be used by Home Team manager to allow him access to both the regular and extra environmentsIn the event both managers use their card; the pick reverts to the home team. Whether used or not a card played is considered used.
2. Temporary Insanity Card: (must be submitted with fighter) Character is not restricted by past moral compass. Character can be argued based on abilities without fear of someone saying, "Hey, Captain America would never do that with all those civilians around!" With this card, he could care less for this
3. Resurrection Card: (only available during the draft) Manager may draft a character that is currently deceased.
4. Amalgam card: (must be submitted with fighter) A manager may choose to amalgamate (combine) two (2) fighters on their team. The Amalgamated character would have the abilities of both fighters. Use of this card requires that the manager forfeit one of the two characters used in the Amalgam. This amalgamation of characters is only available for the fight in which the card is played. When using this card, the manager must submit a name for the Amalgamated character and the character to be forfeited.
5. Alternate Universe Card: (must be submitted with fighter) Allows the manager to switch his character for an alternate of the character from any non-616 Marvel universe, such as AoA or Ultimate, provided the character is listed in the marvel wiki. Manager must submit link confirming character & powers for clearance at least 12 hours prior to battle. Characters summoned by Alternate Universe card are not subject to the cap.
Voting Rules:
1. Anyone can vote: team managers involved, other team managers watching, spectators, CCL members, CCL staff. ANYONE.
2. Only one vote per household, please. No multiple accounts from the same computer allowed for voting.
3. Please try to vote with your head, not your heart. This isn’t supposed to be a favorite character contest.
Finally:
-There are too many rules to list. Just try to play with good sportsmanship, don’t cheat, and use your head. If absolutely necessary, mods will control any situation that gets out of hand. But let’s try and avoid that.
