Skyrim Collector's Edition?

Post by The Last Horseman »

I really want to pick this up. But I'm not sure that I can justify the price for what I get. On the other hand, I have a feeling a complete collector's edition will go for some price in the long run, because I feel that it will sell poorly due to price, and then jump up again come the next Elder Scrolls. What do you guys think? Is it worth waiting until after the game is released to try and get it cheaper of Ebay?

Thanks for any help or opinions.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

The next Elder Scrolls likely won't be out for another 4-6 years.

Just something to keep in mind.

Also, I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't buy anything solely because it might increase in value. Most times, you'll be disappointed with said value later on, and its just a waste in the now because you won't be spending your money on something you actually want.

If you're genuinely unsure, just get the standard version. You can use the extra money to buy another game.

I really want the artbook, and the statue is awesome, but I'm not sure as to whether or not it will go up in value. I guess that's my main question. I have a birthday coming up before then, so I might get some money there.

I was for a while thinking of getting the Epic Edition of Gears 3, but I don't want the statue that much. I was planning on buying the EE and getting the artbook after the game comes out somewhere.
