What shmup are you playing now?

Trouble Witches Neo has been the shmup that's been occupying most of my time of late.

Friggin' boss attack mode is a pain, but I want to complete all the achievements! I'm thinking I should just get the broken DLC character...

I love Trouble Witches! Studio Siesta is awesome. Also consider checking out AirRade ~Air~, an earlier game from them. To get the most appreciation out of AirRade it helps if you know the series the characters are from.

stayed up all night the other day playing Thunder Force III... recently re-bought this cheap and absolutely love re-learning all the levels again.. it's not a super tough game, and goes pretty easy on you as far as lives and continues so you don't get so frustrated with it, but still enough challenge to keep you re-playing all the levels over and over again.. plus the music is freaking incredible! One of my favorite soundtracks.

This is a damn shame. It is my favorite shmup, and we can't be friends until you play it.

In your opinion what is the most difficult Shmup out there/that you've played? I actually don't play that many shmups so for me it's Ikaruga - and I also tried playing one of the Gradius' before and I kept dying less than a minute into the first level.

A lot of people say that the Touhou games are really insane but I've heard they're also overrated. Opinions?
