Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'd like to propose a Racketboy community subforum for this thread, meet-up threads, and the "introduce yourself" thread, among other select topics as they come up. Perhaps other member-related, gaming-related events...

[tables][*][*][/tables] would be nice. (No ladders or chairs please.)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Damn tables!

Oh wait, they actually would be nice if there's a way to implement them.

I badly want spoiler tags, and here's why: Aside from the times when you want to hide an actual spoiler to a story, which is very important, it would be extremely useful in BST threads and guides. BST threads would be easier to view. For one example, you can set up you're thread like this: "Hey, I have the following stuff for sale:"
Nintendo
Sega
Playstation
Or
Consoles
Games
Accessories
Or something to that effect. I have to admit, some times when a BST thread is a wall of text or just not formatted appealingly, I pass it up. I'm sure others do this as well.

The tags would also be very useful in guides. One goal of a guide should be to make it very easy for some one to read and understand. Using spoiler tags would be a great benefit. I would love to use them to hide long explanations that tend to break up a guide. Or pictures. Or whatever else to make the overall format easier to view.

Strikeout tags would also be very beneficial. In BST threads, you can strike out sold items from your list if you wanted. In guides, it's even more useful. Strikeout old information and then insert new information. This is a LOT better than just deleting the old info, because when there's an update or something, the old info can still be relevant and/or useful to know or know of in some way. It is better still than just leaving the old info and then doing an "edit: new info!" because some people will pass over that. They're also useful in every day conversation posts, whenever you wanna change something you said but leave the the original text so posts are still understood.

LOL, sarcasm tags.

Just a comment. Atari Age just updated their Forum Theme, it now has slower loading pages. Hopefully they will bring back the old skin.

Thanks Racketboy for having one of the fastest bloat free Forum Page loads online!

This is assuming the spoiler tags are the 'click to expand' type as opposed to the 'highlight this black box' type.

That's one thing I love about this forum. Sig rules really help. Nothing more annoying when you're trying to read through a thread for, tech help for an example, and you have to read the little bits of text in between the stupidly big sig pics.

Well I would really hope it would be the click to expand type. :D

This is the biggest reason, outside of the community and topics and whatnot, that I love Racketboy. It loads so much faster than most other video game forums. I could grow a beard waiting for IGN boards to load. Only Gamefaqs loads faster than we do, but their forums suck and don't even have the basic features like avatars and quoting.
