if i might add there were 2 castlevania games made for the N64. Although the later one was more of a an update rather than a whole new game.

Yeah, because they're not the same game, just the same series.

Castlevania 1 hasn't ever apperaed on the PS2 or the Xbox, for one.

All the same since Symphony? Right.. that's why you listed systems the Metroidvania Castlevanias didn't appear on. Not to mention the 3D games aren't anything LIKE Symphony.

Besides, I was under the impression we were talking about PORTS- the same game but on a different system- not series'

The DUKE

Post by arion »

lets not forget Duke Nukem 3D

PC>Saturn>N64..and its also available for some handhelds but i dont have any expirience with those verisons of duke

Duke nukem for the n64 is worse since

A. There is no music in the levels
B. Its censored even up to the point of actually changing a level. The red light district in n64 has been messed with so much they could have just changed the name of the level to something like "District"
C. They messed with the guns. where that was good when they made the smg into 2 uzis..its however really bad to see the Rpg (rocket propelled grenade launcher) changed into Grenade Launcher. And the new look for the shotgun was no good.
D. Considering it´s for the n64 there was way to little effort put in to use its graphical capabilites. Only 2 things were changed. Graphically the explosions look good..and all the pixelation has been smoothed out. And thats it. No colored lighting when you shoot and everything is unusually bright.

And as for why the saturn verison is better

A.Good music in levels
B.Not censored at all
C.Guns are the same
D.Not only does it run good on the saturn they actually added some little things like colored lighting when you fire your gun. Aside from that it looks very much like the pc verison wich is a good thing.
