Finished watching Otogi Zoshi last night. It wasn't too bad. The series is split into 2 parts, past and present. Gotta say, I think I liked the first half better. Better overall narrative. The second half seemed to wander too much in the middle of the arc.
I also liked the mixed art styles, with the first arc backgrounds having distinct sumi-e style influences while the modern arc had more modern influences, including black and white Pop art styles. It was a nice touch.

I still remember their shabby treatment of Moribito. One of the best things they have shown in ages, and they treated it like the plague.
A serious show with an excellent female lead that runs circles around most anime heroines.
But no, if its not a shonen fight show they don't seem to care.
They must have shown that when I was in school and didn't have CN on my cable lineup. Pity. I've heard good things about it. Guess I'll have to rely on the internet.
I have been enjoying Durarara, though. It's different from a lot of the other things they've been showing lately.

Yeah, Durarara is actually less of a fight show and more drama/mysteryish. I was surprised when I heard they would start airing it actually, and it was kind of annoying because I had just finished watching the series online (though I watched it subbed).
Finally getting to watch some more Slayers Revolution and it is so much fun!
I don't think the Slayers formula ever gets old, which is pretty amazing. What is this, like the fifth series? They haven't changed much, but it just works

Seriously. Screw you Shao Kahn I'm gonna play Animal Crossing.
The first Slayers got really old really fast for me, what with a majority of the episodes doing nothing for the story and using no new gags. I've enjoyed what I've seen of Revolution so far though. It seemed much less recycled.
