*drum rolls* Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Yes, even with that law system; I liked that since I had to choose my party accordingly. Close after that are Tactics A2, Final Fantasy Tactics, and IV.
My favorite is definitely Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1. (note the avatar)
After that it's VI then VII and in fourth is XII.
Note however that the only other ones I've actually played are V, VIII, IX, and X
-I couldn't get into V but it definitely had one of the best Job systems - right up their with Tactics.
-VIII was meh...I liked the characters but didn't like the card system they had.
-X was alright but I kept getting stuck while playing it and my least favorite would probably have to be IX. I just hated the art and character design and once again didn't like the card thingy they used. (it's been a while since I've played these though - they're probably easy to me now, haha)
I've been meaning to play IV though because I hear a lot about it.
Final Fantasy IV. That's what really got me interested in the series - great characters, storyline, and music. How can you beat the soundtrack? Golbez's theme still rules!
Final Fantasy VI is also one of my other favorites.. And dare I say Final Fantasy Mystic Quest?
Hmmm, well with some of you guys talking about the PSP version of FFI, can you tell me exactly what it offers over the PSX/GBA ports? I beat both of those and it's mildy fun for a 10 hour run, but yeah. I did love the PSP version of FFII though, when I didn't like the PSX/GBA versions of that one. So I can imagine the revamped graphics and all are pretty nice too. But anything else?
FFVI is my favorite with VII-IX and Tactics following closely behind. I'm partial to XI because it was my first MMO and I met a lot of friends online who became RL friends of mine (including my wife!) and at the time it was a hell of a game.
