I've heard sounds reused noticeably in unrelated titles on multiple occasions. For example, the Lizfos in Ocarina of Time make the exact same noise as pushing the red buttons in Ape Escape.

Me, hanging around the city park with nothing to do but sit on the play equipment. No one else in the entire park. Suddenly, I hear music. A young adult, male, wearing a red bandanna, driving down the road next to the park in a convertible with the top down. Listening to "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" from The Lion King. Singing along. 5 mintues later, he drives by again, doing the exact same thing, except with the addition of his girlfriend.
