Holy crap!
I don't think any of us mentioned Mega Man X Command Mission. I've heard it's a decent rpg

I thought it was pretty boring but I'm not a fan of RPG's. Someone that is would probably enjoy it.Gamerforlife wrote:Holy crap!

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Yes, Command Mission was pretty good. Considering it's Megaman's first full fledged RPG, Capcom did a nice job with it. It can get boring, because I didn't really think navigating the dungeons was spectacular, but you gotta love those character designs. I think it has some of the best character designs of the X series. It's got a solid battle system, and story isn't that bad. Not for everyone, but not a terrible game.

One thing I'd like to give credit to the MM X games for is some great intros and intro theme songs
I loved how Zero is the focal point in that one

I'm glad you posted the MMX5 intro, love that song. Haha, but right away you can tell how insanely lazy they were there with the budget just having "still shot" images instead of animating anything.
I've heard great things about Command Mission myself, still need to check it out someday. How does it fit into the X story anyways?
It's worth noting one cool addition to X4-X6 on top of Zero being playable, is that X got a lot of different armors as well.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it fits one of two ways. First one being non-canon, the other being far in the future, before Megaman Zero starts.Xeogred wrote:I'm glad you posted the MMX5 intro, love that song. Command Mission actually happens after Megaman X8 - but for some reason they chose not to resolve any of the questions X8's ending left wide open.
I'm personally of the opinion that everything after X6 shouldn't be considered canon, though.

On a random note, you guys absolutely need to play Mega Man & Bass if you haven't. I never see too many people talk about that one, when I'd put it head and shoulders above MM7-MM8 and the later X games easily. It's one of the toughest ones though for sure.
I remember back in the day when it was referred as Mega Man 9 on the internet, think I played a Japanese rom eons ago originally, lol.

Completely forgot about that one. You're right about no one ever talking about it. I think it's considered Megaman 8.5 or something.
Is it really that good? I've seen videos, but something about the design doesn't agree with me. I like how Bass can rapid fire in 8 directions and dash, but something about it doesn't sit right. I haven't tried it yet, of course, so I don't know what I'm talking about.

I never found anything wrong with the design, except maybe that it's ass-poundingly difficult compared to any classic series game before 9. It's like MM4-6 level design but with MM8 graphics.Veno wrote:Completely forgot about that one. You're right about no one ever talking about it. I think it's considered Megaman 8.5 or something.
