Dead Island Out Now! - Worthy of a great teaser trailer?

Destructoid did a stellar review on Dead Island which answered a lot of questions I had about the game. But one thing I was curious about that wasn't covered is if there are day and night cycles? As an open-world game, it would be safe to assume there is but that hasn't always been the case (ie original Assassin's Creed). For those of you who have already jumped onboard, what are your thoughts on the game so far?

This is one of the few games which I can say without a shred of exaggeration that I have zero interest in.

Really?

I have lots of interest in this title. ...Just not sixty dollars worth of interest.

I am more interested in it after finding out that it can be beaten in a mere 25 seconds. I love quick games!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Haha good times. For everyone that doesn't know the developer released the wrong version of the game on steam. I guess it was really broken hence "beating" the game in 25 seconds. Not sure if they patched it yet or not though.

I also could care less about the game. I just don't see myself coming back to play the game again after beating it. I don't even think you can kill the little girl from the trailer and that's a deal breaker for me.

That Destructoid view makes it sound pretty cool to me. Would be fun for some Racket co-op.
