I don't know that much about emulation in general but I would really love to play some Power Stone online via a PC Naomi emulator. I remember hearing about Naomi games finally starting to be emulated a while back but I haven't kept track of it at all.
Is it possible to emulate Power Stone really well now? Does the Naomi emulator client support netplay? I have a nice arcade stick I can use with my PC, so I would love to play some online Power Stone. It's one of my favorite games.
What's the current state of Naomi emulation?

I don't' know about Netplay, but Makaron's been the best Naomi emulator I've come across. I haven't tried Power Stone, but it emulates Dead or Alive 2 pretty nicely.

my apologies if this is gonna sound a bit ignorant, but what would be the difference between a NAOMI emulator and a standard Dreamcast emulator?

Good question. They are extremely similar. The Dreamcast version of Power Stone is pretty much arcade perfect, if not better actually.eSPy wrote:my apologies if this is gonna sound a bit ignorant, but what would be the difference between a NAOMI emulator and a standard Dreamcast emulator?
Is there a Dreamcast or Naomi emulator that is capable of playing Power Stone online? I want to return to the days of fighting random opponents like I used to do in the arcade.

I hear ya Inazuma. I love the Power Stone series so much, I play it every other day on my DC (looks gorgeous on VGA) and I used to get my competitive fix for it at Denjin Arcade (R.I.P) as of recent with Power Stone 2. I was very pleased to see first hand how faithful a translation the Console version is to its NAOMI brethren. "FIGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM, ESCAPE FROM THE CASTLE!" XD
