Most competitive groups actually consider Alpha 2 Gold to be an abomination.

Honestly, I never found any fault with it, but I wasn't as serious about fighters back then so what do I know.

Speaking of SFA3, I just ordered a CPS2 board for it. Soon as it comes in, I'm putting it in my XvSF cab, taking the original HAPP parts out and replacing them with Seimitsu sticks + push buttons, and then putting it on location to see how it does.

Alpha 2 gold is a great game, but 3 is fantastic for its own reasons. They are very different experiences
In high school, I remember putting so much time into Alpha 3's World Tour mode.. Such an awesome way to expand the single player game back then! I wish more fighters today would do something like this... (I'm looking at YOU KoF XII! ...and you as well, MVC3...)

For some reason Alpha 3 doesn't sit well with me. I love Alpha 2 though.

Currently playing SF3 Third Strike on dreamcast, i got swept up in all the hype... damnit.

yeah I grew up with Alpha 2. I love it to death. but....I like 3 'cause it's a little more fast paced.

Gladly - your oldest needs to get some reps in. Confidence booster for the kids.
