Title is self explanatory.
My votes go to Bushido Blade, Tobal No. 1, and Pocket Fighter.
Hear me out- Bushido Blade had intruiging rules, Tobal No. 1 was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it more than the street fighter ex and alpha series on psx. I know a lot of people hate pocket fighter, but it is a very fun game to play with friends who are new to fighting games because you don't need to memorize the different characters' special moves, since they are all changed to use one button XP
How 'buot you guize?
Favorite PS1 fighters?

Rival Schools: United by Fate.
It's the only PS1 exclusive that I keep coming back to.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Favorite PS1 fighters?
Bloody Roar 2, since it was an exclusive that I played alot. Most of my fighting games time goes towards the Saturn or Dreamcast. I cannot play fighters w/ the abysmal playstation d-pad.

Guilty Gear is as good as it got for me on PS1, but I do enjoy the Bloody Roar and Tobal series a lot, despite not being big on 3D fighters. I have a soft spot for Ehrgeiz as well, that game is the shit.
(I'm a fan of the Capcom classics too of course, but that's a given.)

Doubt it. Unlike DC, Saturn is a console I've never been interested in.Flake wrote:*cough*youhaveadreamcastasaturnshouldbenext*cough*noiseredux wrote:Darkstalkers 3. FTW.

Aww, boo! lol. To be honest, the only non-shmup game I own on the saturn is X-men vs street fighter. But for shmups, you can't go wrong.noiseredux wrote:Doubt it. Hmm, I remember liking Tobal no 2, pretty different for square. Mortal Kombat Trilogy was crazy to get as a kid who played every MK game as they came out. All those characters in one game was just epic.
As for Tekken, I think I liked 2 more than 3. Perhaps it was the epic Devil/Angel last bosses. True Ogre was still cool, but 2 was the first I played, so it has that special place.
I'm not all that into fighters though. I suck at them, and unlike shmups, I can't just say its because the game is too hard.

I'm sure Saturn is great for shmups, but it's too expensive to collect for. I jumped on DC because I'm about to go through a period of spending less $.
