What shmup are you playing now?

I'm playing through DonPachi on the Saturn. My only real gripe with it so far is that it has unlimited continues. Anyone know how to take this off?

Just don't use credits

Or limit yourself. But I don't think you can limit them on Donpachi. Really great game though, gotta love the announcer

Awesome game. Not my favorite from Cave, but they don't really seem to make anything particularly bad.

A played quite a few shmups earlier today. I am honestly awful at all of them. I can only make it about half way through each on one credit.

I really want to grab physical copies of Air Rade ~Air~ and Zillion Beatz sometime. Both are very good shmups. Zillion Beatz enemy and bullet patterns remind me a bit of Mars Matrix. But it's more challenging as there is no buzzing to be had.

up until now that game for me has been the equivalent of smashing my head against a wall. but last night I got to Stage 4 Boss and almost had 'em, too. so I've been re-energized in a way.

also the "x-mode" arrange is really fun! for the longest time I was only playing arcade but after playing x-mode a bit I feel my handle on the game has improved

Galactic attack for the sega saturn. Just got it a few days ago. First shmup I've got that wasn't part of a collection with other games. I've made it to level 6 so far.
