I...I can't. I'm pissed for them screwing up MvC 3, not localizing the Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney game, and canceling MML 3.sevin0seven wrote:sometimes sacrifices has to be made.swiftzx wrote:Damn, I'd buy Street Fighter III for ps3 if it weren't for my boycott on Capcom.

What about taking the survival horror out of Resident Evil? That was the last straw for me.swiftzx wrote:I...I can't. Oh god yes. Basically all this console generation. Handheld library this gen was good though.

...and I'm still fucking terrible at the game. Not sure if I want to spend the cash. If only we had a decent version of Mark of the Wolves on PS3 (mentioning the 360 version does not make you clever).wip3outguy7 wrote:Downloading the 3rd Strike demo for PS3 right now.

Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
Regardless of my feelings for the company right now, I love this game way too much not to download it. Now I can conveniently play on my ps3 online with my TE stick, and I dont have to dig through the cabinet for the dreamcast every time.

@swiftzx, Swoosh and everybody else it seems...
As much as you all seem to pissed at Capcom, you all seem to be missing the point.
Support Developers, not Publishers. Every single publisher is evil as hell. Capcom, Activision, EA, Valve, Konami - All of them. Don't give a crap about the suits, give a crap about the people who work hard to make these games for you.
I used to be like you guys, boycotting publishers that I didn't agree with. Then, after Bizarre Creations folded because nobody bought their games - which were published by Activision at the time - I came to realize that I was partially responsible for the death of one of my favorite developers. It's only after that that I realized just how childish and irresponsible my actions were.
Do you love Capcom's fighting game division? Then you should support their fighting game division. I'm not going to buy a Resident Evil, a Devil May Cry, a Lost Planet or practically anything else Capcom short of fighting games and Sengoku Basara. As long as I'm supporting the games and developers I love, I can live with myself.
And yes, I will definitely be getting Third Strike.

Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
I'm not boycotting Capcom, I'm just disappointed with what they turned Resident Evil into. Besides, all my favorite Capcom games aren't even in this gen. None of their upcoming games interest me at the moment either. I don't hate Capcom, I just miss the good old days of Resident Evil. With all due respect, I wasn't even interested in MML3.

Re: What fighter are you currently playing?
I've been sinking a lot of time into Tatsunoko vs Capcom once more, having just picked up its equivalent stick ridiculously cheap last week. The level of precision and fluency it offers can't be understated. I'm a mediocre player, on my best day, and the caliber of combo I've now access to is a lot higher than before.
