what do you guys think about country? It's just some guy with a REALLY deep voice complaining to a rhythm.

So it's blues for white people, nothing wrong with that. There's a lot of great country music out there, but none of it has been made this century. Hank Williams, Jimmy Rogers, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, John Hartford, Doc Watson. These are people who make real music. Toby Kieth, Garth Brooks, etc can die in a fire.

You can't form a real opinion of country music based on what you hear on the radio, any more than you can form a real opinion of jazz music based on what you hear in an elevator.

Rap music can be good. If the song actually has some decent music to it, besides just a simple beat. It's also nice when the lyrics are about something good or positive.

Unfortunately, it seems like the vast majority of rap music isn't like this. It can hardly be considered music since it hardly has any music in it. Also, it's usually about big asses or some stupid bullshit.

Generally speaking, rap music is garbage but there are some exceptions.
