So, after a long string of weeks and months where the only excersise I did was moving my mouse around, I decided to do some exercise again.
And it's cool, really, but it also means I burn through my music very quickly. So I need more stuff to listen to!
I also tried to check The Shadow but I find Wells' voice hard to understand for some reason. Same happened when I saw Citizen Kane, tough he wasn't going for such a deep voice there so I didn't miss a word. If someone has another fun radio show to listen to, I will check it out.
Concerning music, I tend to favour instrumental over vocals though I'm not closed on the latter. In fact, I would appreciate some female vocalists, for some reason I fancy hearing them.
My favourite genres are Classical, Classical-Progressive or whatever fancy term kids are using these days, Rock and a bit of Metal and Swing (In fact, if you can recommend me something along the lines of Classical-Progressive but for Swing, I may love it). I also prefer clean composition and performance, without guttural voices, distorted guitars and so on.
That said, I'm open to other genres, electronical or not.
I'm also very open to videogame soundtracks, so fire ahead. I'm particularly looking for a Contra album, but I don't know which one is the best.
EDIT: Oh, forgot a part. I tend to like complexity. Simple songs are okey, I guess, but I find complexity far more interesting at little cost if done well.
And positively no autotune please =/
Recommend me something to listen to while I'm at the gym.

Dubstep in general is good to exercise to, probably because its so faced paced.

A lot of these are acquired taste, but here goes. I figure you already know some of my favorite composers like Maurice Ravel.
Shiina Ringo - Heisei Fuuzoku
Live version of a song from the album
The Dear Hunter - Act II: The Meaning Of, & All Things Regarding Ms. Leading
Longest cut from the album. There is lots of variety throughout the album.
Yui Makino - Yui Makino
One of my favorite from her.
Remixes of Genki Rockets songs
Love this one. I can understand if the formula for the regular versions is too simple.
Guess that's all for now. I have a lot of things in mind, but I'm not sure what really suits your tastes. Nightwish is a favorite of mine, but they may be too metal?

Fast paced? Dubstep is known as one of the slowest genres of electronic music. It's usually 70-80 BPM. Drum n Bass is a fast genre and usually goes at about 170-200 BPM. House is a midtempo music at about 115-135 BPM.BRIK wrote:Dubstep in general is good to exercise to, probably because its so faced paced.
As for my recommendation, since you said you liked complex music, try some of this:
Jonas Hellborg:
And since you love classical and swing and complex electronic music, you shoul hear Venetian Snares song "Hajnal" from the album Rossz Csillag Alatt Született. If you like this track, the rest of the album is like this, though his other albums are often different.

I listen to Eminem and Pendulum when I exercise. Sometimes classic rock as well.
Older. Not wiser.

IMO, you need some jam. Long improvisations with a good rhythm works great for keeping you moving. Try some Lotus, Robert Walter, Raq, or YMSB. That's trance, funk, prog, and bluegrass respectively.

Last Chance to Reason might be something you enjoy. Prog metal, extremely complex, and they are more or less centered around video games. Check out the album Level 2.
