Smile: I have something to do next summer! I also was surprised to notice after doing homework until 10 last night (starting at 5) I have none today. Probably 'cuz I lucked out in Algebra and Spanish. :/
Ticked: That thing that's REQUIRED next summer. It's band camp, and I have to go All day... Every day... I HATE SCHOOL... I know it's nothing compared to high school. But I'm taking three high school classes this year. So i can also say I hate high school, and I haven't even started yet...

Since when is band camp mandatory? Or do you mean mandatory, as in your parents (not the school) are making you do it?AmericanMuffin wrote:Smile: I have something to do next summer! Can't be in Band in High School if you don't know how to march, because we have to go to EVERY school football game, so yes, it's the school, and my Mom wants me in band because... I think it has something to do with playing in college, I dont know why, though.BoringSupreez wrote:Since when is band camp mandatory? Man I use to have to go to band camps, they sucked bawls. They made us play in our fucking pyjamas for christ sake.

I'm dating my age here, but I went to a band camp once in 8th grade and it was awesome. To put you into the right time frame, people were stupidly wearing their jeans backwards a'la Kriss Kross, and GNR's Use your Illusion recently hit "Tape World" and "Disc Jockey".BRIK wrote:Man I use to have to go to band camps, they sucked bawls. Band Camp was held at a local University, and had nothing to do with marching, but simply learning more about music as a whole. It was a great way to get away from the normal crowd and meet new friends, and girls at that. Kidding aside, I met some really beautiful girls during the trip and although I didn't reach home plate, I passed second base twice during my stay at UNC's band camp.
It was no AMERICAN PIE band camp experience, but it certainly was better and with less shitty jokes.

Orchestra camp was pretty cool the year I went too. Many a cute girl was interacted with on my trip too. To date me, I played a ton of High Speed and Gauntlet in the game room as well.

What, you don't test your womenfolk with a few rounds of pinball or a video game? Sheesh.Stark wrote:LOL, at first I read this in my mind as in order to date me ...
