And then some. It's more like, what can't you buy from a vending machine in Japan?
Food. Maybe I'm just spoiled with American vending machines always having snacks but it took me a while to adjuster to looking for convenience stores instead.

You have obviously have never been in gas station bathroom. A lot of them have condom machines.
Oh, I know about those. But it's different when it's out in public, instead of in the men's room. And yeah, some of our threads have been crappy lately, I know.

When I visited Holland they had these weird vending machines that sold fried food (Dutch croquettes) and sandwiches. I thought it was weird to have food fried for me by a coin operated robot.

I had a friend living in a college dormitory in the US and there was vending machine that looked very similar on the first floor - it would vend hamburgers and stuff like that.

My high school had an Automat years ago. School lunch with the nameless cooks hiding behind the machines. Scared the shit out of me when I reached for a sandwich, a harry hand putting another sandwich in above thru a back door.

From Hobie's link, Hey a new Automat, though short lived!

Sounds like the Thing-O-Matic I saw at a concert once.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
