As the MLB season heads down the road to the playoff season, we thought it would be a great time to take a look at one of the best baseball games of a generation (and my personal favorite)
Who's joining in on this one?

One on-going challenge I would like to add to this month is to see who can set the record for home runs in the home run derby. What parameters should we set?

cooool. I've put very little time into baseball games. Really I think Major League on NES, Little League on NES and Bases Loaded on GB are the only ones I've gotten into. So this should be fun.
BTW, Great job on the TR article retrosportsgamer!

MVP 2005 is one of my favorite games of all time, but I'm in on this. What console(s) are we playing on?

I figured Genesis. What else was it released on?

Game Gear I believe. I have a WS copy for my Saturn, but not sure of the year.
One correction, to "To digress for a moment" is very redundant. No biggie.
I proof read columns daily, and that caught my eye.

Re: Together Retro: World Series Baseball '95
Doesn't the together retro article normally come up in the main feed? I had to click into the together retro section of the main site to find it this time.
Anyhow, I won't be joining because sports games don't agree with me and because america's favourite pastime just happens to be not so popular in the majority of the rest of the world (we didn;t even get this months game over here in Europe).
Still, I look forward to splattering some houses with you all next month.

PS2 PGen doesn't like this ROM. I'll either try it on my PSP or wait until my DC arrives next week to play.

Thanks - I've been putting together stuff for a future blog so this was a great avenue to share. I was laughing at myself after sending it in to Nick because I didn't look at any of the past TR articles to see how they were formatted and what the layout was. I just handed in 1,200 words - including all the Together Retro history (even though I wasn't a member of the site at the time

I'd say it's redundant - but not very redundant. That whole paragraph was designed as a conversational sidebar to the main article. It's a pretty bad phrase to start a paragraph with - agreed.

Awesome! I'm not sure if I played the '95 version, but I do remember renting World Series Baseball, which is almost the same thing.
