Yeah, I've got that feeling too. If you talk to them about anything before the PS2 era they tend to get confused. There was one guy in there though the last time I went through their GB/GBC games who feigned shock when I didn't pick up Metroid 2 or Kirby's Dreamland 2. I told him I already had them. So, not all of them are completely disinterested mind you, just most.

It does make me appreciate my local game store more though. The two guys who own it and their lone employee know me on sight. So any time I walk through the door and they have something new that they think I'll like (especially the SNES games) they hold it up and yell at me from the back of the store :D

I miss swinging by MadGear's table at conventions with my old job. He'd usually have some game he brought with him to suggest to me that was within the meager budget I had at the time. Then we'd chat about games while I had managed to escape on break.

I went to my local thrift shop today and got a Playstation with wires, one controller, and a crappy game for $7. I came home to check it and it works. Not a fantastic deal but it was okay.

yes. That's why I bought it. From researching stuff mentioned in that topic. It was cheap and complete and made by Natsume. Thought I'd give it a try.
