You would be better off with a Gamecube. Just think, rather than a Mario Kart clone like Atari Karts, you could have the real thing. Then there are the two main Zelda games that will give you hours of enjoyment. Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Battallion Wars, Pikmin 1 & 2, Smash Bros, Sunshine... The list goes on and on, and those are just the Nintendo titles, there are hundreds of third party games. My point is that rather than searching high and low for games that you can enjoy on the Jaguar for $80, why not get a better known system with better known games that you can actually have fun with for less than $10 sometimes. The Jaguar is a cool piece of retro hardware, but it did fail for a reason... :?

i dont get all hyped up over zelda or mario games, RE4 for gamecube is about all that really intrests me in it, im very picky, frankly they are both equally as hard to find games that make me want to own them, darn just dont really want the SNES that much either.

i guarantee the computer you used to make this thread can play wolfenstein 3D at least as good as the Jaguar. That being said, do you really wanna invest in that disaster of a system for the decent AvP? i sure wouldn't.

just sayin...

Man if you have money to spend and your a collector then get it. I always wanted one ever since i saw it announced on GAMEPRO tv show with host JD Roth when i was a kid. I got one being in the right place at the right time, i was in gamestop and a guy came in trying to trade it in and of course they don't take it, so i offered him 30 bucks for it with 9 games in boxes. Now with that said, 98% of the games do completely stink, but its nice to know i finally have one. Its more nostalgic for me thats why i have one :)

A couple months ago I was seriously considering getting a Jaguar for games like Cannon Fodder and Atari Carts. After looking up the price of the Jaguar I could probably pull that. Cannon Fodder decently priced too and then I came to Atari Carts and the price was jaw dropping for it.

So that's when I decided like you recommended to go with the Gamecube, I could get between 10-15 great games for the price of Atari Carts.

So I'm anxiously awaiting the system and games as we speak.

@kingdomhearts777. Still like you if I ever see one either in the wild or for a really good price on eBay I'd jump on it.

I agree. Go with the Gamecube. It's an excellent system. Then get the Jaguar.

wow this got revived out of nowhere. I owned the Gamecube and HATED it. there was just something about it that screamed at me (my inner sega fanboy? my sony love? who knows?) Ive been playing Jaguar via emulator and have been suprised at how good, if few games, there are on it. Amongst the loads of crap, heres what ive found to be awesome:

Alien vs. Predetor
Wolfenstein
Doom
Rayman
Tempest 2k
Atari Karts
Iron Soldier series
PowerDrive Rally
Skyhammer
Super Burnout
Themepark
World Tour Racing CD

im thinking about get one for my birthday. But who knows, mabe ill just get a ton of genesis games.
