What would you do if you stumbled across $150,000?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

An unemployed gent in Illinois came across a duffel bag stuffed with $20 bills - a lot of them. He made the smart choice of reporting it to authorities. What would you guys have done?

Honestly? Figure out some way to keep it. I'd probably make random deposits of random amounts to my bank account over a period of years, and set aside a portion for immediate spending.

Finders keepers, what?

I thought of that too, but he makes a fair point that whoever left that there would probably come back looking for it.

I'd spend most of it on video games and Cheetos and the rest I would probably just waste on other things.

Considering the circumstances of which the money was found... yeah, I'd more than likely turn it in too.

So would I.

Now, if I was just given $150,000, to keep for myself... I don't know what I'd do. Maybe buy a small house, a used car, and pay for college with cash.

Yeah, the circumstances of this particular one means I'd probably inform the police. But a gift? I'd use it to pay off most of my mortgage.
