I dig having them the same color as originals, but would hate to invest in media the PSX has a hard time reading. Are these a good choice for PSX burns? Or is there a different CD-R color with more favorable results?

Though this doesn't answer the man's question. Your PSX shouldn't have a big problem reading them. Really at this point in time, if your PSX is gonna shit the dust, it's gonna do it dark disk or not.
