If I were Blizzard I would refuse to change your name. That's the whole point of asking for your name, not just a screen name.Inazuma wrote:You said it. I can't do cross chat without using my real name. That's bullshit. Blizzard refused to change my name.MrPopo wrote:You don't seem to understand how the Real Id thing works. Real Id is only displayed to friends who have added you by using your email address (instead of your nickname). If you're doing the random matchmaking people can only see your nickname. If you only allow people to add you using your nickname then they can't see your Real Id either. On the flip side, if you want to do cross title chat you need to be using Real Id.Inazuma wrote:The sign up process was a fucking trick. It asked for your first and last name, and also a nickname. I assumed that the nickname was for the games, and my real name was just for registration purposes. Shame on me for trusting Blizzard, because they ended up using my real name in the game itself. Totally outrageous and unacceptable.
Also, don't blame Blizzard for your unwillingness to read about the Real Id system.

Re: WTF Blizzard
Meh. After blizzard taking away lan support and added a map store to SC2, did anyone really not expect this? And about the always on connection, as long as it's not as shitty as ubisoft's and is like steam's it's not that bad.
