Re: Video Games & Drug Use
I once played ET while this girl was riding me and shooting heroin into my foot. We also ate carrots.
Re: Video Games & Drug Use
I think there's a thread for each of those three events. Four if you include E.T.dunpeal2064 wrote:I once played ET while this girl was riding me and shooting heroin into my foot. We also ate carrots.

Aww man theres a carrot thread already? FML, I was just gonna make one about how great video games look while eating carrots.Breetai wrote:I think there's a thread for each of those three events. Oh well, I'll just steal the sleepnumber idea, but replace the bed with a horse.
"Have you ever played a handheld while riding a horse?"
... yeah, seems like a winthread
Re: Video Games & Drug Use
I think if you look over at the Sega-16 forums, you'll see that the ex-member "xDragonwarriorx" already made that thread. He might have specified the Wonderswan, but I'm pretty sure it included all handhelds.dunpeal2064 wrote:Oh well, I'll just steal the sleepnumber idea, but replace the bed with a horse.

Actually, THC is an effective bronchodilator. Some asthmatics do experience relief of acute symptoms when smoking pot. Of course if you do it regularly, the damaging effects of smoke will worsen the problem. But to deal with acute attacks, it can be more effective than an inhaler for some people.Luke wrote: Smoking is about the worse thing to do if you have asthma. Maybe you're thinking about glaucoma.

This thread made me LOL hard. Hard. To be serious, I can't even get drunk and game - once drunk, I have no interest in gaming. Same would go for any depressant. Stimulants would probably make me too jittery.
You might have some problems if your dick is detachable like that.Luke wrote:Dick mode off.Breetai wrote:

Re: Video Games & Drug Use
I tripped a lot back in the early 90's, sometimes thinking "playing SNES while tripping balls will be awesome!".... but it rarely was. Just smoking pot, with a 2 liter of pop and pizza I would pull 16 bit all nighters, but add LSD, and the pattern in the carpeting became more interesting than staring at the TV.
The one time it was cool was watching a buddy play Gradius III and listening to Blizzard of Ozz, after dropping a few tabs. The music and game synchronized, and just when Crazy Train "bust's out" he defeated the first boss, and a pause in the music timed with the level change as he went on to go a few levels farther than he ever had, with Ozzy as his audio co-pilot. Epic.
And I have a video game story about a bad trip. One time at a party I dosed and ended up playing Mortal Kombat II for hours. After going outside for fresh air very early in the morning I started talking to this junkie looking punk rock chick hanging out, and she suddenly yet casually began cutting her arms with a knife. I "saw" her wrists being sliced open and blood gushing out, but my vision was clouded by LSD, and maybe the bloody Genesis version of MKII I just spent hours playing. Suddenly feeling lucid, my instinct was to get help, but this was way before cell phones so I had to go inside to call anyone, and there her friends checked on her and assured me that she was a "cutter", and while obviously troubled, was fine and did not actually do what I thought I saw.
After sobering up, to put my mind at ease I confirmed that, while she did cut herself, had just minor nicks and gashes, not the artery or vein slashing gushing I imagined. Regardless, this incident has become grade A nightmare fuel, and made me very wary about experiencing LSD again, which since then i've only done one other very lame time, over fifteen years ago.

Re: Video Games & Drug Use
I use marijuana every day, its legal here and I have a prescription for it to help me sleep. I always feel like I concentrate more when I am stoned and do better at games. if you dont use marijuana often and it makes you all giggly and stupid it would probably impare your skills pretty bad, but being a heavy smoker it generally just relaxes me and causes me to concentrate more.
I did Acid for the first time a few weeks ago and I played shadow of the colossus. It was absolutely amazing. The sound effects and music made it that much more enjoyable and I legitimately felt like I was in the game. I am probably never going to do acid again, it was fun to see paintings come to life and feel like I was riding a horse around looking for giant hairy rock monsters but it was also extremely intense and not something i recommend for anyone who isnt "ready" for it.
I really love playing brightly colored games on mushrooms. I dont usually get intense visuals, but a really good body buzz and things with bright colors just look way, way cooler. Kirby is one of my favorites when I eat shrooms.
