I'm Looking for Some RPGs/MMOs to Play.
I'm a huge fan of RPG and MMO games. I just got done beating Starwars KOTOR again, and I am urging to play some more RPG/MMO type games. The consoles I have are Xbox 360, Xbox, PS3, PS2, Wii, and my Gamecube. I play WoW on my Mac so if you know any fantastic Mac RPGs let me know. I am getting Jade Empire in the mail and I plan to get KOTOR 2 soon too. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Have you played the two Mass Effect games? If you enjoy the KOTOR games then you will more than likely love ME.

Nah I never really looked into the Mass Effect games. I heard they were pretty good. I could probably buy them at Blockbuster cheaper than Gamestop. I will totally look into playing those.emwearz wrote:Have you played the two Mass Effect games? If you enjoy the KOTOR games then you will more than likely love ME.

If you really love MMO's, you should have a Windows PC. Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming out this year and it looks like it could be amazing.

If you had a PC, then maybe watch for when The Old Republic is released (KoTOR MMO). Also, Guild Wars 2 should be exceptional. The original Guild Wars games are often overlooked as well, should run in WINE, and are fairly good as single player games now (you can just run with heroes/henchmen easily enough).
Second the Mass Effect games.

The old republic MMO almost looks good enough for me to invest in a PC again. I'm just not sold on it yet. Their cinematic trailers look amazing but the gameplay looks somewhat cartoonish. Any other good console RPGs? Thanks so far for all the recommendations!isiolia wrote:If you had a PC, then maybe watch for when The Old Republic is released (KoTOR MMO). I found this video. The game looks very cool. Sigh... I wish I had a good PC again...EVOLghost wrote:Hmmm yeah I've been looking for another MMo ever since I stopped WoW like 3 years ago...and I recently saw PHantasy Star 2. I have a bunch of videos from the recent alpha test, saved onto my hard drive. It had an NDA, so anytime I saw a video, I would download it before it got taken down.EVOLghost wrote:Hmmm yeah I've been looking for another MMo ever since I stopped WoW like 3 years ago...and I recently saw PHantasy Star 2. Long story short, the game looks amazing. I think it has the potential to be my favorite game. I am a bit worried they will have a cash shop, and it will completely destroy the game. People hacked into the data files from the alpha client and saw stuff that was probably related to a cash shop.
They may announce a closed beta at the upcoming TGS in September. I will do everything I can to get in. I really want to play the game for myself.

The Baldur's Gate series and Fallout series are available on Mac. There's also a port of the original Bard's Tale. That's about all I know about Mac RPGs.
