Pink eraser works best. You can open the cart with a triwing screwdriver that has a flat tip.retrosportsgamer wrote:What do you guys use to clean your NGPC games? I've gone the standard rubbing alcohol / q-tip route - although it is challenging given the cartridge size. Didn't have a tool to take the cart apart (admittedly, i tried my Nintendo 3.8 one and anything regular in ones garage) either.
My Match of the Millennium and Samurai Showdown just refuse to work.
Thanks in advance for the discussion.

Excellent - the old triwing screwdriver. Sounds like a Star Wars ship.JammaNationX wrote:Pink eraser works best. I've been using pink eraser to great success on my NES games as well.
Thanks for the tip.

All this Neo Geo Pocket talk makes me want to break out the little guy. Glad to have picked it up, brand new for only $50 from Amazon a while back. Also happy to hold onto Ganbare Neo Poke-kun(I swear, I feel like I'm only person in the world that has a copy!) - such a bizarre little "pet sim", mini game collection. Probably one of my most prized gaming possession, along side my Vectrex.

Flavor is making a device called the NeoLinkMasta which lets you backup and restore game saves on the cart and when used with the NeoFlashMasta you can flash an entire game on the cart.
I'd love to have one just to play CFC2 in ENGLISH on actual hardware. He has sold a few beta units and will be selling more units once the bugs are worked out.
Here's a video he made recently:

Ah yes, I totally forgot to plug his site last post.JammaNationX wrote:Flavor has made a device called the NeoLinkMasta which lets you backup and restore game saves on the cart and when used with the NeoFlashMasta you can flash an entire game on the cart.
He has sold out of the red units and will be selling green units. The USB interface works about as fast as the original BUNG units' parallel port interface. BUNG flash carts and NeoFlashMasta flash carts are .. whoop.
Edit

My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
