Redline. The anime we've been waiting for?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It looks awesome, and that's what anime needed, you know. Because Japanese animation has been in a downward spiral since Lupin III, I think. Decades! Now we have a glimmer of hope.

Well I'm trying to watch this comfortably but no luck so far. Having previewed it let me say from the onset that I don't like the art style at all, even if the film itself has style. I'm fairly certain it's going to be enjoyable, but a game-changer it definitely doesn't seem to be.

I thought this movie was a good watch. Loved the character designs and animation.

Not the greatest story by any means. It is fairly predictable. I'm not a huge fan of one of the plot developments. The characters are likable, and it's a fun ride.

Worth noting that this movie is completely hand drawn and cel based, something rarely done in anime nowadays with mostly everything being CGI and computer drawn/colored. Took 7 years in the making supposedly.

Can't wait to watch it!

Cels?

I can understand wanting a degree of authenticity but that just seems unnecessary.

Hand drawn, yes, but I do not think it is cel animated. Could be wrong. It is also 100% digitally painted.

I love the style. It's like Aeon Flux meets F-Zero meets the Stray Cats.

Looks like a cool visual style but why does everything have to be so apocalyptic in anime?
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)
