I love The Onion.
Is there a reference to something there that I'm unaware of, or are they just making fun of the fans who wish Watterson never quit?

The latter.

You know, I've accepted (mostly) that Shenmue isn't going to continue, but you know what would be cool?

Bring Ryo Hazuki back as a playable character in Virtua Fighter.

That'd kind of be full circle, no? Am I misremembering something or wasn't Akira supposed to be the protagonist in Shenmue?

Hm, really?

If that's the case its news to me. I've never heard that before. The only connections I knew of were the obvious ones: Yu Suzuki and the VF fighting style. Which would still be full circle anyway, and its the reason I thought of it.

Even if that's true about Akira though, I'd still like to see Ryo brought back that way.

I read somewhere that Akira was suppose to be the original protagonist but it slowly morphed into Ryo. It was also going to be originally called Virtua Fighter RPG.

Labyrinth Zone in general is the worst part of Sonic 1, and I'd say it's the worst zone in the entire Genesis part of the series. Cheap, slow, and ugly.
