Yes, but they have to be made out of bugs. Like this:

Giant water bugs are one of the larger known insects, growing in size from 1.5 inches to 4 inches long. A true delicacy in Asia and Thailand, many locals eat them steamed or mash them into a sweet or spicy dipping sauce for other edible insects, rice, or vegetables… nom nom!

Yeah, I don't think I could do the larvae cheese. Not because of the maggots, just because of the smell. I can deal with some musty cheese, but that's just too much.

As for the baby mice, I actually do some mouse husbandry as part of my job. I can't say I'm not frequently reminded of popplers. Bet they'd be good fried.

Yeah, I can imagine that doesn't come up very often.

Yes: "I don't eat meat, I'm a vegetarian."

No: "I don't eat insects, I'm a vegetarian."

yum! i ate this a lot when i was a kid.
Behold, for our journey of horror reaches its destination. Balut are duck eggs that have been incubated until the fetus is all feathery and beaky, and then boiled alive. The bones give the eggs a uniquely crunchy texture.
They are enjoyed in Cambodia, Philippines and the fifth and seventh levels of hell. They are typically sold by street vendors at night, out of buckets of warm sand. You can spot the vendors because of their glowing red eyes, and the faint, otherworldly sound of children screaming.

When the world food supply runs low, we'll all be chowing on bugs.

Or maybe when the world food supply runs low, bugs will be chowing on us. I tell ya, all those ants are already have a better transit system then we do, and they certainly have been farming for a lot longer than we have.
