Which Version Is Best?

Flashback: Quest For Identity, Sega CD, Sega Genesis or SNES?

MS-DOS or Amiga for looks and mega CD for music.

Still need to play the Sega CD version myself. How much "music" is there anyways? Since the game was mostly silent/ambient.

Which version of Final Fantasy 1 and 2 is better? I have Dawn of Souls for gba but the psp versions look interesting to me. I also have the Nes FF1, but I'm curious if the psp versions are better/worse?

I'm going to have to say the PSP version of FFII at least was a lot more inviting and enjoyable than the PSX/GBA versions. I didn't play much of those versions, just because I wasn't feeling it. But I beat the PSP version recently, it was well balanced and a lot of fun. I think it might have had some tweaks again over the PSX/GBA versions, but don't quote me on that. PSP version had really good music though (think it was arranged stuff like the PSX version).

FFI I'm not sure about, I imagine the PSP remake is cool though. I beat this one on both the PSX/GBA versions though since it's just so short and easy. Can't really go wrong with this one I guess.

I think both PSP releases can be found for like $10 new online.

Genesis and SNES Sparkster are actually different games, get both. I hear Genesis is better though.

Soul Calibur 2 I prefer on Gamecube, the controller is much nicer (plus Link, whoo!). The PS2 one always seems a bit worse graphically, and personally, I cannot stand the XBOX controls, particularly for a fighting game.

Anyhow - Psychonauts - XBox or PS2? I'm assuming the former.

^Don't know about Psychonauts but I can confirm the Genesis version of Sparkster is indeed better. SNES version's not bad, I just had much more fun with the Genesis version.

Twilight Princess for GCN or Wii? Bear in mind I don't have a Wii yet, so I can't really choose between the two, but is it worth getting on the Gamecube or not?

Psychonauts' loading times on the PS2 are absysmal. They take about 2 minutes per area, and they pop up way too often. In the Xbox version, especially if you have the game installed to the Hard Drive, the load times are practically nonexistent.

I played the Wii version and had no problem with it, that said, I don't think you're missing anything by going with the GC version and whenever I get a Wii again, I just might buy that version instead. It was one of those early Wii titles where the motion controls were worthless, as in, you just wiggled around the controller in your lap with no effort to do everything. Not that I'm complaining since I don't like motion controls in general (the setup works really well with Metroid Prime 3 though!), but yeah.

The only oddity between the versions is that because they made Link right handed in the Wii game, the world is completely mirrored from the GC release. Weird.

The Wii version supports widescreen, and the GCN version doesn't. That alone is reason to go Wii if you have an HDTV.
