I think so too. The biggest risk though is that a GameQuest Direct will flood the market with reprints.
Ar Tonelico Qoga has also become rare.

So the more ridiculous the name the higher the cost/rarity right? :P

The PS2 and later FF games will never go up in value. Guaranteed.
Yeah, the only expensive Final Fantasy games are the SNES ones (unless you go to obscure jp releases or something). VII has only gone down in price recently, and VIII and IX never really went anywhere, you can still buy em new for pretty damn cheap.

The VS series didn't get pricey either, aside MvC2 on the ps2 getting to some ridiculous amounts.

I think that Suikoden V is getting a bit pricey, so that one might climb up to the $40 region.

I'm thinking Solotarobo, DQMJ2 and Kirby Mass Attack will be harder to find in the future because they're being released in such a game heavy fall, and at the end of the DS' lifespan especially Solotarobo.

Also, Will Zack and Wiki ever become rare/expensive?

I didn't realize FF games had gone down that much in value, but I just checked and you're right. About 2, maybe 3 years back I sold a used copy of FFVII that I received in an eBay lot (I don't play JRPGs) and sold it within 2 days for $50 plus shipping.

But as for Vs. games. I don't know what you consider pricey, but $40-50 on average for used copy of a PS2 game is pricey in my book. That's the price for a brand-new current-gen game.

I remember non-SFA Capcom fighters on the PS1 going for ridiculous amounts (V.Savior, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, the Versus series)... which always struck me as strange considering calling them 'neutered' versions of the original games would be giving them too much credit.

Definitely anything by Atlus.
Other games I've been watching are: Sin and Punishment 2, Lost in Shadow, Castle Shikigami III, Sakura Wars (PS2 or Wii).

Also, Taito Legends 1 and 2.

Earlier ATLUS maybe. Later ATLUS, when they started cranking more titles per year, less so?

And those other games you've listed were high-profile niche titles; probably have more overstock than I can imagine.

@Burning Doom: I said ASIDE the ps2 version of mvc2 :P

The other VS games aren't that much money, maybe aside a complete SS copy of X-men vs Street Fighter.
