Hmmm pretty interesting about the Gyromite.

I decided to open mine up annndddd.....

It did in fact have the converter inside of it.

Pretty cool little cart to have in my collection.

My day of retro hunting got a little bit better when I decided to stop by a local chain store called "Game Play" to pick up an AV cable for my recently acquired Genesis.

The AV cable was 10 bucks so I said screw it and decided to order an official sega one from amazon.

I decided to look through the usually overpriced (but buy 2 get 1 free) games to see if I could snag any deals.

Looking through a top shelf of Genesis games which consisted of pretty much all sports games I spotted this little guy:

An Action mf'in 52

I quickly grabbed a couple other cheap games so I could cash in on the b2g1 free deal.

I gave the guy 20 bucks but looking at the receipt when I got home I noticed he thought I gave him 25. So I got all 3 games for around $7.50 total.

Time to go play some Cheetahmen.

I was just reading up on it on wikipedia and apparently it's not a port just an entirely new set of 52 terrible games lol.

Pre-hurricane I hit a couple of Gamestops tonight to take advantage of the buy 2 get 2 free PS2 deal. Fortunately, my main two had a large number of CIB and I ended up picking up 16 games - including Mega Man X Collection, SotC, both Castlevania titles, Tekken 5, Soul Caliber III and grabbed a couple black labels I had been meaning to replace.

My favorite though was an un-stickered Gradius III & IV case (complete). I asked the guy at the counter what the price was...$4.99 (and he was shocked too). He ended up finding the disc sitting in the disc only area as some good samaritan refused to chuck the case and manual for this one and stuck it on the shelf. So I got this one complete and in like-new condition. Awesome.

I got interested in growing my gamecube collection after fixing a GC recently and reading the undiscovered cube games feature on racketboy. Unfortunately the games the local gamestop had were in poor shape for the price so I passed on those decided to capitalize on the Buy two get two PS2 deal to get some titles i've wanted to try but didn't feel like spending the cash on:

All disc only:

King of Route 66 (PS2)
Shinobi (PS2)
Front Mission 4 (PS2)
Samurai Legend Musashi (PS2) w/manual
oh and Viewtiful Joe 2 for the (GC) seemed ok at 2.99 :P

Total was under $10. Sort of a meh deal but saved maybe $5.

Oh and I nabbed the following off CL a few days ago for $20:

The Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventure - Disc Only
Kirby AirRide - Complete but the cover had water damage and light mold  (tossed cover)
Mario Sunshine - Disc only
Super Smash Bros Melee - Disc Only (had some near fatal scratches but nothing the local play n' trade couldn't buff out!)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Disc & Case
Robots - Disc Only

Went to a car boot sale today, and got some cool stuff.

Aladdin (Mega Drive), boxed - £2
Mario Golf Advance Tour (GBA), Boxed and complete - £3
Lylat Wars (N64), cartridge only - £2
The Ninja (Master System), cartridge only - 50p
Asterix (Master System), boxed and complete - 50p

And I also managed to find this:
Playstation 1 (original model)
2x official controllers
2x Blaze IR wireless controllers
Multitap
Official Memory Card
Namco Light Gun
Playstation 2 DVD remote plug in (for some reason)
Unidentified Playstation......thing. It might be some sort of video out converter or something?
Demo Disc

All for £2.50 8)

It was a pretty awesome boot fair actually, lots of game things, even if half of them were PS1 Sports games. I couldn't afford much more unfortunately. The weirdest thing I found was a CIB MSX game. I didn't buy it though.
