Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Found a couple boxes of Genny stuff at a yard sale this morning:

The seller was asking $40.00, but I was able to negotiate the price to $30, considering the filthy condition everything was in.

Some nice stuff hidden inside though!

- 2 Genesis model 1
- 2 Genesis model 2
- Sega CD model 1 (I figured even an as-is model 1 Sega CD could be sold for $30)
- 2 official 6 button controllers
- 1 official 3 button controller
- 3 third party 6 button / turbo controllers
- 1 official 4 player multitap
- 2 AC adaptor (1602 and 1602-1)
- a mess of RF switches, AV cables and some unrelated electronics effluvia (phone cords, unrecognizable adaptors, etc.)
THE GAMES:
boxed:
NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (complete)
Eternal Champions (box, no manual)
Alien 3 (box, no manual)
NHL 95 (complete)
Tecmo Super NBA Basketball (box, no manual)
Shaq-Fu (empty box!
)
cartridge only:
Earthworm Jim (with manual)
Columns
Battleship
X-Men 2: Clone Wars
Ms. Pac-Man
Road Rash 3
Warp Speed
College Football USA 97
Williams Arcade Classics
Sonic The Hedgehog
NFL 95
Batman Forever
Wheel of Fortune
The Lion King
Mortal Kombat II
ToeJam & Earl 2: Panic on Funkotron
Dinosaurs For Hire
X-Men
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Phantom 2040
WWF Super WrestleMania
The Tick
Flashback: The Quest for Identity
Monopoly
Altered Beast
Frogger
Ariel the Little Mermaid
Decap Attack
Spider-Man & Venom: Maximum Carnage
I wasn't holding out much hope about the Sega CD working, or anything here working for that matter. These boxes are very dirty. BEHOLD!
A miracle, surely. It works. Played Mortal Kombat, Rise of the Dragon and Ecco the Dolphin.

Maxell DVD-R 100 Pack - $12.99 at Frys
A great price, thought I would get the word out. The sale just started today, good thru Tuesday. What is great about Frys is if they are out of stock you can rain check the sale price. I have a preference to gold labeled blue bottom Maxell DVD-Rs. Its the perfect disc for creating my PAL coverted to NTSC PS2 games as well as backups up movies. I don't even like the printable label discs, the added coating affects the spin during a write.
Instant savings, no coupons to deal with!

New advertising sleeve, the same reliable discs inside.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Are they really going for $30 now? The ones I put on my thread last year I put at $10 and took forever to move. Then I put one in the racket charity auction and I think it went for like $6.vlame wrote:if one of those nes games has a converter for famicom you can sell it for $30
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
It's common to see them on eBay for about $30 (some times more) but that doesn't mean they sell for that price.

^ If i'm not mistaken, a best offer price isn't necessarily what it sold for though, it was $25 or best offer, so could be less, the $18.99 one is a legit sale though - then minus fees ($3.50 ebay/paypal on $25), then it was free shipping, another $2, then factor in the noobs who don't know how common they are. I think $10 is still a fair market price then.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
That is the price those sold for. It's a bit confusing on the completed items, but if you click on the auctions it clearly says "sold for". I do agree those seem to be inflated though.mjmjr25 wrote:^ If i'm not mistaken, a best offer price isn't necessarily what it sold for though, it was $25 or best offer, so could be less, the $18.99 one is a legit sale though - then minus fees ($3.50 ebay/paypal on $25), then it was free shipping, another $2, then factor in the noobs who don't know how common they are.
