I don't know if you're serious or joking, but yes, American companies use corn syrup as a sweetener all the time. This is because the government heavily subsidizes corn production to ridiculous levels, making high-fructose corn syrup substantially cheaper as a sweetener than real sugar.

This all reminds me of my Grandpa threatening anyone who clogged his toilets with being forced to take dumps outside, in a self-dug hole, and would have to wipe their rears with corn cobs. No one clogged the toilets again that trip.
