Nice Genesis Find

Post by ott0bot »

I went to my game store at lunch today and was excited to see that someone traded in thier entire Genesis collection. And almost every title was complete.

There was alot of great stuff but I had most of the good titles. I picked up Mystic Defender, Truxton and Beyond Oasis for $6 each and Shining in the Darkness for $3. All in all i spent $23 after tax. I've been looking for complete of these for along time, so i'm pretty happy.

I'll have to fire up Beyond Oasis after I beat Windwaker. I'm too addicted right now to play anything else!

Good find?

Very nice find. Beyond Oasis has always one of my all time favorite Genesis titles. It was very much like a Arabian Legend of Zelda. Speaking of, if you never tried the sequel to it, (or prequel I believe) The Legend of Oasis on the Saturn you really should as well. Very good game.

That's what i heard. I really dig Zelda for SNES and Illusion of Gaia, so I'm sure I'll like it. I think I've played the Saturn game, but I haven't found it for a decent price yet.

I'm eager to play Mystic Defender too, it's got some really awesome enemies and all the 16-bitness you'd hope for in an early genesis title.

Wow, I never knew the value of The Legend of Oasis went up so much. I just looked it up and complete it can fetch $50 easy. I wish I never had sold my Saturn now. I never had many games for it but the few I had all went up in value. I had The Legend of Oasis, the Panzer Dragoon series, and Guardian Heroes. I had NiGHTS which can be found cheap, but I also had the Christmas NiGHTS bonus disk. You don't even wanna know what I let it all go for, (I sold it at a garage sale if that helps) I got my head slapped thats for sure. Oh well, I still have my rediscovered love for Dreamcast and my ever growing collection of rarities and classics for it to be proud of.
