Ha, yeah I know I still bought it. The GS around here is always kinda weird about DS games. Sometimes they'll give you a sealed one from behind the counter, sometimes they'll simply pop the cartridge in the case and hand you back the floor model. Depends on their inventory I guess. That time I was unlucky.

This latest bit with Gamestop opening and removing the free onlive coupon with sealed PC copies of Dues Ex Human Revolution has to be their biggest dick move yet.

All the other stuff they do can be looked at as logical in some kind of light, but damn, this is not excusable in any way.

The fact that they thought they could get away with it and don't think the negative press they are getting is unfair is just the icing on the cake.

I guess in the end its like a lot of things, get what you can from Gamestop, but watch your back and don't trust them for a second or you'll end up shived.

From the other post, can a Mod merge the other thread here?

Never buy opened games as new
That round plastic sticker is the dumbest thing Gamestop has done, adds to the irony of selling an opened game as new. Almost as bad as a Blockbuster Label, a difficult plastic sticker to remove and clean that leaves the game case clear plastic bubbled. Besides if a game is missing stuff or defective, how would one know until its opened?

Oh crap, another Gamestop Buy Two Get Two free? I went thru that already, bought a ton of PS2 games. Madness of visiting multiple stores to get CIB from different cities while on vacation.

Dare I do this again ..........
Maybe when all the white cases go B2G2 ............
No the Wii games are not part of the sale. Although they should be, so many white cases.

I verified the PS2 Buy 2 Get 2 free is now in affect and expires of all days - 9/11 !! :?

You should be ashamed of yourself. Just because it's a good deal, doesn't mean you should shop at Gamestop. That's some fucking selfish bullshit. I am disgusted.

Or maybe you should shop at GameStop for this sale. Knowing GameStop, whatever PS2 games they don't sell by date X they will throw in the garbage.

Yeah, there are some things I don't like such as their removing of that Live coupon. I only buy CIB pre DRM used games, so why not get the best deal?

Gamestop does carry a LOT of Out of Print used titles and the best overall prices for used games locally. This is the main reason to support Gamestop, for the used market. Nothing rings Video Game Finds better then doing a hunt and discovering a used game treasure locally.

Okay this would be both the Bad and the Ugly combined. Eventually this will happen, maybe I should do another marathon run. :?:

Someday, I'm going to get about three or four copies of Battletoads, go to a GameStop, and see if I can trade them all in.
