That's strange. The PS2 version wasn't as good as the PC version, and everyone has a PC powerful enough to run Deus Ex these days. Why pay extra for a gimped version?Hazerd wrote:search ebay and amazon, i know amazon has ones for disc only goin for $20+dsheinem wrote:For disc only copies?Hazerd wrote: Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is going for at least $20 alone!

does the PC version have 1920x1080 support... because if not, id rather play it on the PS2.
the same goes for alot of FPS games around that era, i tried System Shock 2 and it just didnt do it for me, although that did have high resolution support.

I played the PC version (well, suffered through) at 1600x1200 (my LCD res). There are also fan patches with texture upgrades. The PS2 version is going to support 1280x1024 at absolute most since that is the max the console supports. I suspect the best is actually going to be 640x480 or 720x480 if it supports progressive or widescreen progressive.Hazerd wrote:does the PC version have 1920x1080 support... because if not, id rather play it on the PS2.

Hooked up a Dreamcast yesterday. Cash converters sold me the console, the controller, and the memory card as seperate items, so it wasn't exactly a bargain. Also got 2 racing games in good condition and a totally scratched up disc for crazy taxi, whole lot for just under $60.00. But it was the last console I needed to have 4 generations of sega and 4 generations of nintendo machines. Se below
Also just got an ex-rental N64 expansion Pak from a closing down video store for $1.00. They said I could have it but the money was going to a family effected by the floods, so I gave them my dollar.

Picked up Landstalker CIB for Genesis for a fiver and am really thrilled with it after a couple hours of playing. In some ways very Zelda-esque but also quite different. Sort of reminds me of Crystalis more than Zelda.
Also picked up Iron Soldier loose for my Jaguar for another fiver, mostly because I don't often see Jaguar games. First impressions: What the hell did Jaguar game developers have against textures? I have Cybermorph, Checkered Flag, and Iron Soldier now, and they're all devoid of texture.

He's in Europe, so I'm sure that's a European console. Also notice that the bit around the power light on the Mega Drive is white, meaning it is a European system.vlame wrote:you need a super nintendo, i don't count your SFC bc that is the only japanese system you have. it is the odd man out.
Programmers had to program their own code for texturing polygons on the Jaguar. This would mean more development time and slower performance. I imagine they either couldn't wring out performance they were happy with or publishers weren't allowing the extra development time.Czernobog wrote:First impressions: What the hell did Jaguar game developers have against textures? Australia actually. Though oddly enough I just checked and it is a UK console, I have the Aus one too and it looks exactly the same.Hobie-wan wrote:He's in Europe, so I'm sure that's a European console.
