Really? Why not? The game is so good that I'm willing to pay whatever price they decide is fair, even if I wasn't already a huge KOF fan.

The fact that they are going to rebalance the game so that K', Raiden and Elizabeth are no longer OP (they're still good, just not overpowering) means it's going to be more than just a lazy port on top of that. The online is the only thing that could end up disappointing - and hell, I doubt it could be much worse that MvC3's online.

Yeah, that was the point I was going to raise. It's going to be hard draw with SSFIV:AE, Blazblue and (although it's not an actual fighting game(oh yeah, I went there, came back, with a t-shirt and it says "Go play a real game") MK all hovering around budget prices now, let alone in October. I might go ahead and go full price anyways, just out of some vain gesture of loyalty. I honestly adore this series, and I fear if it doesn't crack out some results this time out, regardless of quality, it's going to be a good while before it's seen again. As much as I love'em, I've no desire to return to the days when the only source of a new KOF fix was playing a pachinko machine.

Does anyone know if the CDs will be any good? Not sure if I should preorder or not. I just hate paying full price for games. I'd almost rather get a stack of PS2 games for 50 bucks or something :/
NES, SNES, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GCN, Wii, PS3, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP 3000, and 3DS XL

This is one of the biggest fan services Atlus has done in years. The soundtrack is either for you or its not, but I guarantee once the initial batch is gone, they WILL be hard to get.

It's just that I don't EVER listen to CDs. I would rip it to iTunes and just put the discs on the shelf and never listen to it.

The game has a pre order price of 49.99 at amazon with the cds, I don't see how they can sweeten the deal anymore.

It look they are clearly trying to rectify the mistakes made last time.

My only question is PS3 or 360 version for me?

I will definitely be getting it. I just won't have the money until closer to release. I will probably continue to use my team of Kyo/Terry/Leona, rotating Kyo out for K' on occasion.
