Is this a thread to increase your e-pen0r or are you genuinely looking for recommendations?

You ought to catalog your stuff on one of the various collection tracking sites out there like RF Generation or some such. I really liked Open Game Lister, but the author took the web page down and I don't believe the project has been updated in well over a year. :(

I keep toying with creating a database off all my games, not to compare the size of my e-pen0r but just because I'm the kind of stats lover that wants to know how many games I have and what portion of them I have completed/not played/whatever.

I reckon I must have about 120ish orginal games across all systems but it would be nice to know exactly how many I have. Sad. I know

You should have asked about one specific system or genre of a system. That would have been easier. Besides, Racketboy has made a pretty good list of recommendation of those systems on this site. Since you asked a general question, you'll get a general answer. I recommend every games that was ever made for those systems. Hope you will have fun.

i will have fun tyvm :D, and also ill give you a genre for dreamcast, racing games, and shooters

those are my 2 favorite genres, besides oldschool platforming, new platformers generally suck imo.
