For those who don't know this game, it was never released in the USA, it is a rhythm game similar to Bust a Grove that uses great Vector graphics (or a simulation of them) where you have to remember shapes (and there combinations) as as normal press them when the character reaches the shape, lots of great and unique Japanese tunes.
Now the even more awesome thing is that the game will load into the RAM and you can play your own music CD's (similar to Audiosurf).
I have been capturing footage all night and hope to get a video review up in the next week or so, the game is really hard at first as it never tells you what buttons to press, just the shapes scroll by so you need to remember button combinations.
I posted this a while back, check out the freeware PC version:

It has strange intriguing songs in it. It would also create a level based on your music CD. Simple button mash react to screen line image.
Here is a Freeware game VIB inspired for the PC:

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I visited a thrift store right down the street that has a very meager selection and has never netted me anything. I went over to the VHS tape area and I saw a stack of dirty N64 games. Time to sift through a dozen copies of madden and QB club, I thought.
Instead here's what I found:
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Paper Mario
Banjo-Kazooie
Kirby Crystal Shards
Yoshi's Story
Each were two bucks, but I had 20% coupon. So the total plus tax came to 8.57
Yoshi's Story is the only game I already own. And, I have been looking for Paper Mario for half a century it seems. Good day.
Since they are dirty, I do have a few questions about cleaning them:
1) What is the best way to clean off permanent marker from a cart? (Nail Polish Remover is my first thought...)
2) The copy of Paper Mario has a clear blockbuster label that goes of the original label. Is there any easy way to take this off? I'll be keeping it, so there's no major need to have the label removed; it would simply be nice to do so.

1) Goo Gone. Heard some good things about those Magic Erasers too.chalo 07 wrote:1) What is the best way to clean off permanent marker from a cart? (Nail Polish Remover is my first thought...)

2) I had a cart that had one of those, but with "Blockbuster" written on it in blue. Long story short, I found out that rubbing alcohol would remove the blue Blockbuster writing from the clear plastic, leaving the label underneath still covered, but not noticeably. I would leave it on, personally.

Thanks. I would have never thought of that for the blockbuster label!FAHQALL wrote:1) Goo Gone. Heard some good things about those Magic Erasers too.chalo 07 wrote:1) What is the best way to clean off permanent marker from a cart? (Nail Polish Remover is my first thought...)

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
After playing some more Vib-Ribbon this morning (Though I was using commercial music so did not bother recording) I have to say, even on bronze this game can be brutal, its so hard to remember the patterns, I have the poster but it means I have to constantly look between them.
More practice!

Rubbing alcohol will easily remove most marker from carts. The first time I took alcohol and a toothbrush to marker on a cart I was amazed how easily it was removed. The right kind of brush matters, I have about 6 different brushes I keep on my work bench. Goo Gone is great stuff, I use it all the time to remove stickers or residue from carts. Never tried it for markers though, as the alcohol has always proven to be perfect.FAHQALL wrote:1) Goo Gone.
