If you want to sell us a portable device, it really should be portable. >_>
What? Do you mean not user-replaceable because 100% non-replaceable sounds like BS.
At the very least, it won't be easy to replace it. Maybe if you completely take it apart, there may be a way. The PSP Go is the same. These devices are only gonna be portable for 500 charges or so. After that, the battery dies and it's no longer portable.

Same deal with the Dual Shock 3. Sony sucks.

Yeah I getcha. It should be more like the DS Lite or anything with an easy user-serviceable compartment. The Dual Shock 3 doesn't look particularly hard but if the Vita and Go are anything like Apple stuff, that's not gonna be fun.

The dual shock 3 is designed so that the battery is super easy to replace. Just unscrew the back using any standard 4 pronged screw driver, pop it off and the battery is right there sitting in a small tray. Unplug it, plug the new one in, screw the back on again and your good to go. Takes all of 5 minutes, and you don't have to fiddle about with AA batteries all the time. Thats a plus in my books.

As for the PSP, SCEA seems to have abandoned it, SCEJ has not and SCEE is looking to keep trying. It was just announced this week at gamescon that europe is getting a new PSP model:

I find it strange that only the Pal region is getting these budget consoles. The 'Family' wii is a pal exclusive as well.

I really enjoyed Jeanne d'Arc. It's a not super-deep-gameplay turn-based strategy.
